vicolatte@gmail.com*****Warning: I have a tendency to edit my Bio when I'm not in the best of moods, and it may therefore end up offensive to some people. Seems I end up doing all my whatnot-bashing here. If you want to think I'm essentially nice, stay away from this bio.*****
I'm in Singapore. No, that is NOT part of China; nor is it near Taiwan. I may have an anglicized mindset and accent but I am Asian through and through and I am proud of it.
Yes, I love Gackt. However, that does not mean I love Dir en Grey or Malice Mizer or Kagrra or Buck-Tick or D'espairs Ray etc. I do appreciate that they make good music (sometimes) but I am certainly not a hardcore J-rock fan. I listen to a very wide range of music, English, Mandarin or instrumental, and it just so happens that the most beautiful person in the world (imho) falls under the J-music category.
I do not spend all my time trawling the Inddernet for his pictures or information, and perhaps that does not render me a 'true fan' to hardcore GACKTGACKTGACKTALLDAYLONG fans whose LJs are filled with nothing but his pictures and videos. I don't even cross-post updates on my LJ. But seeing as there are already so many blogs up for that, I don't see the point of there being another simply to post repeats.
Don't get me wrong. I'm glad to know more and am very thankful to those people who do offer regular information on him. I just don't wish to fill my time in that manner.
I am anti-fangirl-screaming/squealing/clutching each other and jumping up and down in excitement over getting a new poster or album or something. I also get VERY horrified when I discover fans at lives -clapping- or -waving- or screaming the members' names *throughout* the concert or (god HASN'T forbidden, apparently) FLAPPING THEIR HANDS. I mean, for chrissakes! I'M embarrassed for you, even if you're not.
I have very strong objections to cosplaying.
...and DON'T get me started on Ayumi Hamasaki and Namie Amuro and Utada Hikaru. And Jolin Tsai. Et cetera. They -ALL- look and sound I.D.E.N.T.I.C.A.L. to me. Some may say "Yah I know they're annoying, but srsly *this* one is better than all the rest".
Heck, not to me!
This may be a little random but if my Christian friends knew my views on religion they would live their life with a question mark in their minds that is very small and unpushy but stubborn simply in its presence. I've attempted discussions, not arguments, discussions, with certain friends and Christian adults and I can only say that I am wholly disappointed in them. I have only found two people so far who are so fixed in their faith that they do not require outside support to uphold it and for that I respect them. (And one is fictitious. Read "Mister God, This is Anna" by Fynn. One of the most beautiful books I have ever read. Only Christian book I favour, too. The other one is a friend with whom I have not spoken to in a long time and I regret it very much but my pride doesn't allow me to apologize for something I did not do intentionally and no, it does not involve religion.)
The only reason I never try to get into a real heart-to-heart with Christian friends is because I want them to be happy more than anything and if they're happy in their faith then so be it. I believe in free will and if that is their decision... I can't honestly say I respect it but to avoid conflict...
